Five must-see attractions in Ninh Binh
Located at the southern margin of the Red River Delta, with its centre 90 km South of Ha Noi Capital, Ninh Binh province is blessed with many historic and cultural relics and famous tourist attractions. Visiting Ninh Binh, tourists will have no reasons for missing out one of below attractions and these places will take tourists back into the nation’s history, allowing them to respect and take pride in this historical landscape.   1. Trang An Scenic Area
Trang An scenic area is an outstanding humid tropical tower karst landscape located in in the districts of Hoa Lu, Gia Vien and Ninh Binh city. Scenically it presents a magnificent panorama of majestic mountains and streams that flow through and intricate system of subterranean cave passages and mysterious valleys. 
Visiting Trang An Scenic Area, visitors have a chance to admire the wild, exquisite and mysterious beauty, explore distant roots of human life, and relive with pride the golden and glorious historic in the 10th century of Dinh, early Le and Ly Dynasties. 
2. Hoa Lu Ancient Capital.

Hoa Lu Ancient capital, the first capital of the Viet Nam centralized feudal state, is about 300ha and located in Truong Yen Commune, Hoa Lu district, which was associated with the Dinh, Early Le and Ly dynasties.
Through all the ups and downs of time and history, Hoa Lu today still preserves monuments of cultural and historical values. Among the evidence of the glorious history are: King Dinh Tien Hoang and King Le Dai Hanh temples, the stele house dedicated to King Ly Thai To, Princess Phat Kim  temple, along with an array of naturally-created walls, majestic mountains and caves. This special site is a shining milestone in the history of Viet Nam and the pride of all its people.
3. Bai Dinh Pagoda
Located about 15km northwest of Ninh Binh city, Bai Dinh now is the largest pagoda in Viet Nam with 12 national records established, such as the 100 ton bronze statue of the Buddha Sakyamuni; three bronze statues of Tam The (50 tons each); two huge bronze bells, one weighs 27 tons the other 36 tons, and 500 stone statues of La Han (Arhats)
Visitors to Bai Dinh can be enveloped in the sacred enclosures of the ancient pagoda and marvel at the impressive architecture and statutes of Buddha in the new pagoda.
4. Tam Coc- Bich Dong Scenic Area
Tam Coc- Bich Dong is a beautiful scenic landscape within the Trang An Lanscape Complex. Over millions of years of tectonic formation, the place has retained many of its original natural features, with many caves and historical, cultural landscapes famous in Vietnam and abroad such as Thai Vi Temple, Tam Coc or Three grottoes, Bich Dong Scenic landscape, Sunlight Valley, Bird Valley. Visitors to Tam Coc will go boating on the Ngo Dong River ans wallow themselves in the mysterious beauty of the “Second most beautiful cave in Vietnam”, exploring  the eerie and mysterious of nature and enjoy the unique specialities of Hoa Lu Mountain.
5. Van Long Wetland Nature Reserve
Van Long Wetland Nature Reserve has a diverse and varied landscape, including a tropical forest ecosystem in limestone karst terrain and extensive marshlands with rock islands, Van Long is a beautiful landscape and a popular attraction luring many domestic and foreign tourists.
